About the Workshop
In an effort to protect the integrity, stability and reliability of the DNS and the Internet in general, LACTLD, LACNIC, ICANN, the Public Interest Registry and Internet Society will provide training for judges, prosecutors and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) from Latin American and Caribbean countries.
During the workshop, participants will work on the Internet's operation, the Domain Name System (DNS), the ecosystem's organizations and the different mechanisms that exist to know and contact those responsible for online content. All participants will also be provided with a space to network and exchange experiences and best practices.

Participants
Judges, prosecutors and Latin American and Caribbean law enforcement agents (LEAs) are invited to participate in this Forum. Additionally, country domain names administrators, platforms and companies operating in the region are invited.
Objectives and scope

Sharing information on the advances, challenges and trends of Digital Technology and Security on the Internet, with a special focus on the Domain Name System (DNS)

Presenting trends, technological advances and best practices for managing a secure DNS infrastructure

Supporting dialogue, knowledge transfer and the exchange of ideas on technology and digital security

Strengthening the participants’ technical capacities

Contributing to the adoption and implementation of best practices in Internet infrastructure and security in national and international entities

Generating cooperative schemes between the LEAs and the Internet industry

Sharing, analyzing and discussing approaches, positions, experiences and lessons learned with LEAs

Collectively supporting awareness about stability, resilience and security in basic or core Internet services
